Louis Provot Édition Stéréoscopique was a seller of stereoviews. The company was located at Rue Ordener 52 in Paris. It sold 45 x 107mm glass stereoviews with scenes from the war in wooden cases of 50[1], 100[2] or 200[3] slides. On the inside is a stamp visible with Louis Provot Édition Stéréoscopique[1] or Louis Provot Stéréo-Édition[3]. The cases with 100 or 200 slides could be purchased with a Unis France hand-held stereoscope which fits in the case. The images in the collection can be categorized as “Brentano’s”[2].
