This flowchart will give guidance to identify the publisher of a commercial French glass stereoview from the First World War:

These resources will help to find the publisher:
Image gallery and lists
- Image gallery of The Great War in 3D
- Image lists on The Great War in 3D (downloadable Excel documents)
Catalogs
- La Stéréoscopie Universelle catalog of stereoviews with numbers 8301 to 9605 (searchable PDF document)
- Paris-Stéréo wartime catalog on The Great War in 3D
- Paris-Stéréo postwar catalog on The Great War in 3D
- Service des Ventes de l’U.N.C. (SDV) catalog on The Great War in 3D
Remarks
- Slides in the SDV catalog are manufactured by publisher La Stéréoscopie Universelle
- The catalogs from Paris-Stéréo contain lists of paper card stereoviews, but glass stereoviews with the same titles and numbers exist
- War stereoviews that are marked “VERASCOPE RICHARD” cannot be automatically linked to the published war stereoviews of Vérascope Richard because the company sold labeled glass plates that could be used by photographers to print their negatives. A 6 digit number and handwritten title is required to link it to the war portfolio of Vérascope Richard.
